Meet the Administration Behind SSTS
Soundly Speaking owner, Michele Davis, MS, CCC-SLP, has been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1990. She graduated from Baylor University in 1989 with a BA in Communication Disorders and in 1990 with a Master's in Speech Pathology.
She started Soundly Speaking in 2014 after a 24 year-long career of practicing speech pathology in the home health field. You can read in the website tab "The Story of Soundly Speaking" about how God orchestrated a divine meeting with some special needs adults in an amusement park in Tennessee and how it all went from there! Her passion for this population runs deep and she's deeply devoted to them.
Sue Williford, is Soundly Speaking's wonderful Executive Assistant. She has an extensive background in billing and coding from multiple previous jobs such as working in a hospital and accounting for an oil company. However, working for a DME company was her favorite job, as she got to help people with disabilities. Sue's start at Soundly Speaking began after meeting Michele, who was at the time, Sue's mother's speech therapist. They developed a great relationship that led to Sue's employment with Soundly Speaking in 2016. Sue is such a huge part of why Soundly Speaking runs so smoothly, as she "puts out fires" and has such a personable approach to all problems.
Meet Whitney Willis, our Director of Marketing, here at Soundly Speaking. In May 2018, Whitney recently graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s of science at Abilene Christian University. She will be continuing her education and pursuing a master’s of CSD in Fall 2018 at Abilene Christian in Dallas.
She interned with us last summer and shares our passion for the IDD community! She finds a joyful love in this field knowing that she can use the abilities that God has blessed her with in order to serve and advocate for others. Because of this, she is very thankful to find Soundly Speaking in order to grow her experiences and love for this career.
