Susan Walker
Meet Susan, Soundly Speaking's Lead Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. She graduated in 2010 with her B.S. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Six months later she was working home health with pediatric clients. She thought she had found her niche because of her love for children. However, circumstances changed and she left the clinic she had been at for almost 3 years. Susan took a break for a few months to rethink where her career was headed. Three months later she randomly ran across a post from Michele. Soundly was hiring so she met Michele and interviewed for a position. Little did she know that God was working in a very big way to guide her down the path He knew she should be on. To say she has been blessed by her clients and the Soundly Speaking family is an understatement. She has had many people ask her if she ever gets tired of working, and she just tells them she really doesn’t know since she doesn't consider what she does “work”. Susan prays that she is able to continue providing the very best therapy and care for her clients for many years to come. Susan keeps our personnel records updated as well as some varied admin tasks!

Amanda Lindop
Meet Amanda, part of our administration team responsible for all accounts and billing. She is a 2001 Graduate of Rockwall High School. After high school and one year of college, she went to work full time at Sleeper, Sewell & Company and was hired as the Office Coordinator handling several pieces of the day-to-day operations of the office for several years. In 2005, she had her son Hunter and a few years later she decided to become a stay-at-home mom. In 2016, she decided to go back to work and Michele contacted her about her resume and asked her to come work for Soundly Speaking Therapy Services. She originally started out work closely with Sue Williford and was learning the set up of new accounts, accounting, billing, etc. With the growth of SSTS she moved into full time monthly billing, crediting clients' accounts when payments are received, helping with billing problems and questions, collections on past due billing and making phone calls to agencies about billing items. It makes Amanda’s heart so happy to know that there is a company out there like SSTS that wants to have services that will help people with disabilities. She feels proud to be part of this team who help to really change people's lives!

Lynn Sutherland
Meet Lynn Sutherland, who maintains all therapists' records. Lynn graduated from Delta State University in 1972 and spent most of her career working with attorneys, mainly in Dallas, retiring in 2013 and moving to East Texas. The move necessitated transferring her son Brett to a new therapy group, and she was fortunate to find Soundly Speaking. Susan has been his SLP-Assistant and a big part of her family's life since. Lynn and Michele soon became friends, too. One night in February 2022 as Lynn was texting with Michele, she suddenly found herself filling out employment forms. Working part-time and getting to interact with the Soundly Speaking team as well as case workers has provided mental stimulation while still enjoying retirement!
